A Birthday Wish

A sensory birthday party for a very special little girl

October 2019

To celebrate a milestone fifth birthday, a local family called upon Creating Memories to help organise a sensory birthday party. Working with some amazing businesses, Creating Memories created a party with three exciting elements – the first was a mobile ‘sensory’ van from Square Peg Foundation CIC. Everyone enjoyed playing, even the adults – and it gave them inspiration for future birthday gifts! Afterwards, Nathan from Nathan Sounds performed a special concert to relax the birthday girl, which resulted in lots of smiles and tears of joy! Ending the party in style were Teaching Talons, who bought an array of animals for all the children to touch and meet. The final surprise of the day was a handmade sensory book for the birthday girl, courtesy of Peddler of Crafts. Thank you to the following local businesses who kindly donated their products, time and services to help make this wish come true, including Square Peg Foundation CIC, Nathan Sounds, Teaching Talons and Peddler of Crafts.
