Wish:

Arlo’s Wish

When:

November 2023

Where:

Bedfordshire

Description:

3-year-old Arlo was desperate for some sensory toys, particularly those that make noise and light up. The toys that he would play with during hospice visits made him smile and helped to stimulate his brain, so his family wanted to create a play area at home for him to enjoy. Arlo lives with a rare genetic condition called congenital central hypoventilation syndrome (CCHS) which means he is unable to breathe independently when asleep – he must be assisted with a ventilator – and this makes it hard for him to go out. Thanks to Hope Education, who provided a wonderful selection of toys for Arlo. Arlo’s parents said “We cannot thank Creating Memories enough for this box of sensory toys for our little boy! The toys we received have helped us to create a gorgeous little sensory space under the stairs, which he is thoroughly enjoying! It’s a lovely little ‘den’ for Arlo to play and relax in – the smile on his little face says it all! Thank you, Creating Memories, for making this wish come true – it means the world!”
